The Sugarcubes - Life's Too Good

While most would consider Bjork to be the most irreplaceable member in this band, thor (guitar) definitely works some poppish adventure into this group. "Motorcrash" seems to be the lead single but is not my jam...that award would go to "Birthday" which features a good bass/vocal interplay on the chorus that gets the party started. "F***ing in Rhythm & Sorrow" is the best song title ever. There are youtube videos for a few of the songs on this album also. Go Iceland Go Iceland, go!

heard this band in hootenanny(clothing store) and i can't get enough. live show with these guys is also very awesome, they played a lot more instruments than i thought they would. lots of energy, lots of fun.

french version of this song is way good. total asshole move by me... i kept seeing this record years ago and i never bought it, then recently i was at amoeba and i saw it, thought i saw two and was telling my friend all about this great blonderedhead record and they should buy it...but i had the last one....ooops

this band is everything i would want if i was in a band: cheeky, catchy, funny, awesome. great 7in pick it up if you can find it this band is gonna be huge, new album coming out soon

so i've had this 7in for a few years and like a jerk i never listened to the B side. then raj made me a mix cd and i was like WTF is this song? and hes all like stupid you have the 7in listen to the B side.....so there it is

this has that "girl yodel" that makes joe want to kill and makes me wanna dance, go figure. this is an awesome song that i picked up by chance, horizontal action said it was good and i thought it was funny so i grabbed it. it's good

yay, i finally own this 7in! this was on a mix tape of joe's and i couldn't get enough of it, you'll love it too....maybe. (fyi i guess when the stooges broke up, or whatever ask joe, this was their side project)

oh the tyrades are really good, any of their records would be worth the $$

so all their songs are super trashy and sound the same...but i think that's a good thing, yay they reunited and are playing shows again!

sweden rules. but not the way they ship records(grrr my shit was all bent and packaged shitty!! no vinyl harm though) this band has a really great sound and are even better live, hella hot guitar chick and shes a badass.

so i kept dropping the "Gay" bomb in conversation and totally offending someone, sorry, i'm not homophobic i working on breaking my "gay" bomb habit.....so this song....well it gets stuck in my head and i laugh. i saw the black lips and when they played this song they were making out and spiting in each other's mouths, right on.

another great band from sweden (also badly packaged) kinda like really rockin' x ray specs (did i butchered that? joe will make fun) highly recommended and fun

"Remise depeire" La Fraction
yay french punk, like edith piaf with punk music! these guys were on tour recently and wow, she can sing even better live. go find it and enjoy!

another song that was on a past "joe mix tape" but it alwasy got cut off and drove me nutz, so here it is in its fuzzy entirety. i love it, you love it? gotta buy it in Harvard square at twisted village.

found this random 7in and i like it better than their last record(joe still hate them no matter what)....yay pretentious-art-indie-music!

whoops, i didn;t mean to put 2 blonde redhead songs, oh well, i love this song and the new album. looks like they got enough money to make their stuff sound all fancy, not a bad thing, i do like it, but the earlier stuff was really good.






I'm not Busy" Quintron and miss pussycat
i meant to put two quintron songs, because.....well listen to that organ... or the drum buddie!! it's amazing!!! funny story, so i was buying this at amoeba and this weird dude saw it and just wouldn't stop talking to me and i'm like ok i just wanna look at records, leave me alone, but he wouldn't so eventually i was like ok and walked away, raj had the same experience about 30 min later.
